Brief synopsis - A 20 yard+ own goal in the last minute of the game gifted the mighty HP Hawks all 3 points in a game that should have been rightfully theirs for the taking. After going an early goal down after a defensive mix up, Mad Mick levelled matters from a cross-cum-shot rifled into the top corner. The game stayed like this for over an hour, despite great efforts from both sides until the costly defensive blunder cost Manscum any chance of finals action in 2003.

Well, after a week of turmoil and training no shows within the 2nds camp, the form guide was reversed when the boys went a bit mental and slotted 6 past the side that hadn't won since the first half of the season. Goals from GT (2), Wild Wes, Tum, Gunnsy and someone else (luckily not Subbie though) completed the scoresheet that now leads to a pay TV pay-per-view extravaganza last weeekend of the season as the mighty HP Hawks need to overturn a 2 goal deficit on the table to win the minor premiership. This could be on the cards as the Park play the frightfully out of form Italians and league leaders West End take on early season pacesetters Tarragindi.
HP Hawks (3) 2 Sunnybank 1
A goal in each half from Princess and Luke Ruseel from the spot was enough to secure a finals berth for the 3s for what is perhaps the first time ever in HP Hawks' history. A solid performance all round was just reward with all 3 points heading to the home side. Kwammie finally got the call to marshall the midfield and put in a man of the match performance to help cement a top 3 spot.
